» Day 5 - Ankara / Cappadocia (B,L,D)

After breakfast we will visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, a museum that has drawn world-wide acclaim for its extensive collection of arts and artifacts from the Stone and Neolithic Ages, Hittites, Urartians, Phrygians, etc. Next we will visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the burial place of the national hero who founded the modern Republic of Turkey. We continue on to Cappadocia with a  a picturesque drive that takes us along the Salt Lake and past the 13th century Seljuk Agzikarahan Caravanserai. After visiting the Kaymakli Underground City, a place where early Christians hid from persecutors, we will proceed to our hotel in Cappadocia where we will dine and spend the night.
