» Day 2 - Trabzon (B, L, D)

Following breakfast at our hotel we begin our trip with a visit to the 4th century Sumela Monastery and the Altindere National Park. Later on we will drive up the Zigana Mountain, a drive that will provide us with spectacular views of villages perched in and on the Pontic Mountains. Upon our arrival at Gümüshane we will visit the Karaca Cave, considered the most beautiful in Turkey for its colors and formations. We drive back to our hotel in Trabzon where we will dine and spend the night.
