» Day 7 – Kusadasi/Izmir (B,L,D)

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to the nearby hillside and its grove that shelters the House of Virgin Mary. From here we continue to the almost-adjacent ruins of Ephesus, the city that served as the Roman Capital of Asia Minor. As we explore this vast ruin we see the city's Odeon, Hercules Gate, Temple of Hadrian, the Magnificent Library, the Agora and the fantastic Greco-Roman Theater. After lunch we visit the Basilica of St. John before setting off on our drive to İzmir where we will dine and spend the night.
