Perge: The impressive ruins of the ancient Greek city and the capital of Pamphlia are located just 15 kilometers from Antalya. The historical remains to be seen here are the theatre, memorial fountain, city gate, agora, baths and gymnasium especially stand out. Perge is also famous for its temple of Artemis and for being the home of the ancient Greek mathematician, Apollonius.
Aspendos: Known as the best-preserved theater of antiquity, Aspendos can accommodate an audience of 15,000. Nearby are well-preserved ruins of the basilica, agora, and an imposing Aqueduct.
Side: Side was an ancient Greek city in Anatolia, in the region of Pamphylia, in what is now Antalya province on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is now a resort town and one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey, near Manavgat and the village of Selimiye, 75 km from Antalya) in the province of Antalya. |
