Day 3 - Hierapolis - Laodicea - Ephesus - Izmir (B, L, D)

After breakfast we visit Hierapolis with its necropolis, baths, theater and St. Philips's Martyrium. We continue on to Laodicea where we visit its odeon, theater and gymnasium. Our drive now takes us to Ephesus, where we lunch and then visit its well-preserved ruins including the theatre where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, the library, the Odeon, the “Double  Church “ where the third Ecumenical Council was held in 431 and the St. John Basilica. We return to our hotel in Izmir where we have our dinner and overnight stay..
